RoboMarker G2 further eases placing marks accurately with its integration of an accelerometer and DOE (Diffractive Optical Element) projected laser crosshairs. In "laser mode", RoboMarker G2 will begin flashing the targeting pattern whenever the device is within a level approach range. When the device becomes completely leveled, the targeting pattern will shine steadily to let you know it is positioned accurately. Too far out of level and the laser turns off.

RoboTip G2 uses our proprietary dry formula which is compatible with infrared imaging. When our unique dry formula goes into solution on a wet cornea, the result is crisp marks that last up to 2 hours.
Traditional marking with ink involves the somewhat futile task of securing wet ink in place on top of a wet cornea. It doesn't take long before the marks you tried to precisely place "bleed" all over the eye or are completely gone by the time you get to the OR.
The secret with RoboTip is the dry "ink". In our case we actually prefer to have a moist cornea. This allows the dry formula to stain the eye as it absorbs deeply into the cornea maintaining its linear shape and sharp contrast.
Long lasting marks mean you can mark several patients in a row in pre-op with the confidence your marks will still be there later in the OR.

The RoboMarker System is the world's first handheld, self leveling, single step corneal marking system designed to place long lasting, highly accurate marks in a fraction of the time as other methods. You can think of it as a "smart marker" – the first of its kind.
The RoboMarker handpiece is responsible for the angular accuracy of the mark placement. High precision Swiss ball bearings and an internal pendular weight combine to ensure that marks are placed at the correct angle when referenced against the pendular weight which constantly levels to 90°.
The RoboTip is the RoboMarker's sterile, single use, pre-inked companion. Simply insert the RoboTip and set the tip to the desired angle as indicated on the RoboMarker's axis dial and you are ready to mark your patients. Due to the sterile, single use disposable nature of the Tips, there is no need to wait on an autoclave. Because the RoboTips are pre-inked using our proprietary dry formula which holds fast on a wet cornea, expect thin crisp lines that take the guesswork out of axis location.
A fixation light ensures the patient is marked in the same way they are measured when at the slit lamp.

The RoboMarker G2 system improves upon the original model in several standout ways:
Laser Targeting DOE - A patient-safe, class 1 laser target projects from behind the fixation light to better guide the operator as they approach touching down on the eye.
Finger Brake Button - This mechanical feature was added to keep the RoboTip G2 from rotating should the operator fail to land both tips on the cornea simultaneously. The brake temporarily locks the tip to the marker to prevent unintentional rotation caused by landing in a crooked manner.
Larger Hand Piece / Illuminated Ring Dial - RoboMarker G2 is 20% larger than the original and features a backlit ring dial which translates to improved ergonomics when handling and increased legibility when aligning to the desired axis.
